Things to do
A small town
with quiet plans.
Golf on the headland. Mini golf around a lake. Tennis with a bay view. The point. Bakery, bowls, bistro. Most of it within fifteen minutes on foot from The Deck.
In one paragraph
You can leave the car parked.
Crescent Head is small. You walk to the beach, to the point, to coffee, to the bakery, to the country club, to dinner. The country club itself has a six-hole golf course (Australia's only accredited one), tennis courts, a bowling green, a bar, and a bistro, all on the same headland. A new 18-hole mini golf course is right next door. Most of it sits within fifteen minutes on foot from The Deck.
A round-up
Eight things worth doing.
A perfect Saturday
What a couple of days actually looks like.
- 6am
Dawn patrol or headland walk
Down the hill to the point with a board, or out across the headland on foot.
- 9am
Barnett's, then Sea Sea
Pie at Barnett's. Coffee at Sea Sea. Don't argue with either order.
- 11am
Six holes at the country club
Walk on most weekdays. Bar is open from eleven if a beer beats golf.
- 1pm
Lunch at the clubhouse
Sunday lunch is a Crescent institution. Bring an appetite.
- 3pm
Mini golf with the kids
Eighteen holes, an hour. Sandstone walls and native grasses, not clown heads.
- 5pm
Sundowner on the deck
Walk back up the hill. Pour something cold. Hat Head turns gold.
- 7pm
Back to the country club for dinner
Or fish and chips on the deck. Both are correct.
Direct booking
From $250/night.
Above all of it.
Walk to the country club, the point, the bakery, the new mini golf. Walk back when you're ready.
