Breakfast as the sun comes up. Dinner as it sets. Most guests don't leave for the first day.

Killick Creek
Cross the bridge. Swim. Fish. Take the dog. The estuary is glass at low tide.

Walk up to the headland. Six holes of golf (Australia's only accredited six-hole course), a roll on the bowls green, or just a cold one looking over the bay.
11am
Lunch at Sea Sea
Dog under the table, fish tacos, a midday glass of something. The kind of long lunch you put off for too long.
1pm
Your Hosts
The Deck is run by Trent and Liss, the couple behind the doors. They're the people who text back when you need a last-minute restaurant rec, the WiFi password, or a heads-up on the swell. They live less than an hour from the property and are reachable any time.
Honest answers, early check-ins where possible, local recommendations that aren't on Google. Three hundred-plus guests can vouch for it.

The Location
Seven minutes on foot to the point. A surf town that hasn't tried too hard, which is exactly why people keep coming back.
Explore Crescent HeadAbout this stay
Two horizons. Ocean east, hinterland west. A long wave you can hear from bed. A bakery seven minutes downhill. A fireplace for cold nights, an outdoor shower for sandy ones. Most guests don't get in the car the whole stay. Most say it felt like home.
The Deck sleeps six across three bedrooms. Two queens, and a third with two singles. It sits above the point at 16 Noongah Terrace, a seven-minute walk to the beach, pub, and country club. Of the holiday houses in Crescent Head, few sit this close to the point — and most guests don't get back in the car for the entire stay.
Dogs are warmly welcome. The upper deck is the secure area. The wider property isn't fully fenced. We keep toys, water bowls and poo bags on the deck. There's a clearing 50 metres down the road for a run, and an outdoor shower downstairs for sandy paws. More on our pet-friendly stay →
Starlink at 200mbps. Take the meeting from the deck. Samsung Frame TV runs Netflix. Nespresso keeps things civil before 8am. Long stays welcome.
The point at Crescent Head is a National Surfing Reserve and home to one of the longest right-hand longboard point breaks in Australia, peeling all the way to Killick Creek. The Deck is a surf house seven minutes' walk from the line-up. Best swell window is May through August, and the Malibu Classic longboard contest runs each year.
It's also an ocean-view holiday house that suits couples beautifully — two queen bedrooms, a wraparound deck for sundowners, a wood fireplace for cold nights, and a horizon in two directions. Plenty of guests come as a couples retreat and barely leave the deck. Sleeps six if you bring friends.
Crescent Head sits in the Macleay Valley on the NSW Mid North Coast, about 5 hours' drive north of Sydney (437km) and ~6 hours south of Brisbane. Nearest airports are Port Macquarie (1 hour) and Coffs Harbour (1.5 hours). Kempsey is 12km inland for supermarkets and bigger errands.
Nightly rates start at $250 mid-week off-peak and sit around $399 on Friday and Saturday nights. Book direct and you get the best price, instant confirmation, secure payment via Stripe, and a direct line to Trent and Liss. Three queens plus two singles. Sleeps six. Dog welcome.
