About this stay
The deck is the room.
The view does the rest.
Two horizons. Ocean east, hinterland west. A long wave you can hear from bed. A bakery seven minutes downhill. A fireplace for cold nights, an outdoor shower for sandy ones. Most guests don't get in the car the whole stay. Most say it felt like home.
A three-bedroom holiday house in Crescent Head, NSW
The Deck sleeps six across three bedrooms. Two queens, and a third with two singles. It sits above the point at 16 Noongah Terrace, a seven-minute walk to the beach, pub, and country club. Of the holiday houses in Crescent Head, few sit this close to the point — and most guests don't get back in the car for the entire stay.
Pet-friendly accommodation in Crescent Head
Dogs are warmly welcome. The upper deck is the secure area. The wider property isn't fully fenced. We keep toys, water bowls and poo bags on the deck. There's a clearing 50 metres down the road for a run, and an outdoor shower downstairs for sandy paws. More on our pet-friendly stay →
Work from the deck
Starlink at 200mbps. Take the meeting from the deck. Samsung Frame TV runs Netflix. Nespresso keeps things civil before 8am. Long stays welcome.
Where to stay for surfing Crescent Head
The point at Crescent Head is a National Surfing Reserve and home to one of the longest right-hand longboard point breaks in Australia, peeling all the way to Killick Creek. The Deck is a surf house seven minutes' walk from the line-up. Best swell window is May through August, and the Malibu Classic longboard contest runs each year.
A romantic getaway for couples
It's also an ocean-view holiday house that suits couples beautifully — two queen bedrooms, a wraparound deck for sundowners, a wood fireplace for cold nights, and a horizon in two directions. Plenty of guests come as a couples retreat and barely leave the deck. Sleeps six if you bring friends.
